CEO/President, Jim Rufrano, is a founder of HGR Construction Inc. in 2003. Jim pursued a lifelong passion, becoming a General Contractor licensed in multiple states. From humble beginnings, with a staff of 3 people, HGR was born.  Ethics, integrity, and solid leadership principles were the company’s focus. Along the way, Jim selected a talented and highly motivated team of managers. They have contributed to the significant growth of the company, and its client base, with earnings of more than 300 million dollars annually!  HGR now serves the entire Southeast United States with over 110 motivated and capable team members. Jim has clearly established himself in the commercial construction industry as a result driven leader, and a steadfast advocate of HGR Construction's commitment to quality work and customer relationships. Jim's ideals have produced a string of HGR accolades, awards, and very satisfied customers.  In 2023, HGR Construction was ranked the #1 Local Construction Company/General Contractor by the Orlando Business Journal. Jim's commitment to growing HGR Construction is evident, and under his direction the sky is the limit! When not building commercial projects or expanding the HGR client base, Jim values his family time. An accomplished Triathlete, Jim is also an avid cyclist. Jim is a consistent contributor to local and national charitable causes.

Senior Vice President and Principal Carson Brownell is a proud Rinker School of Construction Management Alumni from the University of Florida, has a passion for offshore fishing, participating in sporting events, Team Building, and spending time with family. Having over 26 years in construction, Carson held versatile roles including Pre-Construction, Project Management, Superintendent, and Sr. VP. His diverse experience in managing facilities like retail, healthcare, offices, industrial, and education brings valuable perspectives to client projects. Handling over $200M worth of work concurrently, Carson excels in anticipating client needs, especially in fast-track projects, while fostering strong relationships for successful outcomes. Carson also values leadership and is always encouraging others to do what is right, all the time. One of Carson’s favorite things about being a leader at HGR is personnel development. HGR Team members growing into leaders is a huge part of why HGR has seen such amazing growth in the last 3-4 years, evidenced by the recent accolades from the Orlando Business Journal as one of the fastest growing companies, one of the Top Workplaces as awarded by the Orlando Sentinel, and the kind words from our clients as shown on this page.  He is motivated every day believing that HGR is and always will be, a great place to build not just buildings, but relationships for decades to come.

Louie holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Building Construction from the University of Southern Mississippi and graduated with high honors. He is a member of Sigma Lambda Chi, an International Honor Society which recognizes outstanding individuals in construction. Louie has been with HGR since 2007. He serves as Senior V.P. and Partner in the firm with over 35 years of experience in commercial construction, including proficiency in estimating and management of a diverse portfolio of projects, commercial, industrial, retail, hospitality, educational facilities and airports many of which are considered national landmarks. Louie is skilled in general contracting, design-build, cost-plus and construction management forms of delivery. Louie is an expert in producing well-built projects on time and in budget to satisfied owners and developers, many of whom have become regular clients of HGR Construction. A secret to Louie’s success is his belief in the importance of relationships. Whether it is larger, mid-size, or smaller clientele, or HGR’s subcontractors and vendors, Louie invests in mutually beneficial relationships with all stakeholders. In a complex and challenging industry, his efforts pay off and the result is successful projects delivered on time. Louie is an avid sportsman and loves spending time with his family in the outdoors.
